How this calculator works
When you buy the same stock at different prices over time, your true cost basis is the quantity-weighted average of all your purchases — Average Price = Total Invested ÷ Total Quantity.
Worked example: buying 50 shares at ₹500 and later 30 shares at ₹450 gives a total investment of ₹38,500 across 80 shares — an average price of ₹481.25, which is your real break-even point, not either individual purchase price.
