Inflation-Adjusted Salary Growth Calculator
Find out if your raise actually grew your real purchasing power after inflation.
Nominal growth
18.8%
Real growth
-0.3%
Your salary grew 18.8% on paper, but after 6% annual inflation over 3 years, your real purchasing power shrank by 0.3%.
How this calculator works
A salary increase looks good on paper, but if inflation rose faster than your raise, your real purchasing power may have actually declined. This calculator deflates your new salary back into “today's money” using cumulative inflation over the period, to reveal your true (real) growth rate.
Worked example:a salary that grew from ₹8,00,000 to ₹9,50,000 over 3 years looks like solid 18.8% nominal growth — but at 6% average annual inflation, your real purchasing power actually shrank by about 0.3%, meaning that raise didn't even keep pace with rising prices.
