This calculator shows both the absolute return (total percentage gain) and the annualized return (CAGR) on your mutual fund investment, using CAGR = (Final Value / Invested Value)^(1/years) − 1.
Worked example: an investment of ₹1,00,000 that grew to ₹1,45,000 over 3 years shows a 45% absolute return, but only a 13.2% annualized return (CAGR) — the number you should use when comparing this investment against other options like FDs or other funds held for different periods.
