How this calculator works
The income-multiple method is a quick way to estimate life insurance needs: multiply your annual income by a factor (commonly 10-15x), then adjust for outstanding liabilities and existing cover.
Worked example: on an annual income of ₹12,00,000 with a 12x multiple, ₹30,00,000 in liabilities, and ₹10,00,000 in existing cover, the recommended cover works out to ₹1.64 crore.
